I've been thinking about Tablets, been thinking about getting one, but I need to overhaul my computer to make sure it works.

Tablets.... :3 When I first got my tablet, it took me a long time to master hand-eye coordination with it. (Okay, I still haven't mastered it completely xD) But after I finally got better with it, I use it almost all the time. (Still can't beat a pencil though!)

Basically it works by sensing where you have the pen on the "drawing area" of the tablet and how hard you have it pressed down. It follows your movements on the screen, and more or less is magical. The hand-eye coordinationg is a necessity because you have to look at your monitor and not your hand when you're working.

Which tablet are you getting? I had the Wacom Graphire for a good while (until it mysteriously and randomly stopped working right before I was going to start my webcomic o_O) and now I have a Wacom Intuos which I adore with much of my heart...:3

As a random note, my tablet taught me that I apparently rotate pencils/pens without thinking about it. There's a little button on the side of the tablet pen that is clear of my fingers when I first pick up the pen, but next thing I know, I accidently press it and...well, brief trouble ensues that requires an undo button. xD But I'm improving - haven't done that in at least a month! ...Still do it with a pencil though, but at least that doesn't cause problems ^^()
