Alright, so today I went to the coffee shop to attempt to find a new place to work on my comic. I was sittin there, minding my own buisiness when this guy I was sitting in front of got up and walked near me. He stopped right next to where all my crap was sprawled out and looked at me.

"You draw all this?" He asked, his mouth slightly agape.

I felt my face start to blush. I was really nervous...Was he trying to hit on me? I laughed real sheepishly. "Heheh...yeah..."

"This is amazing." I felt my mouth drop open in shock. Amazing? PISHISHAW...you kidding me? I looked at his face, and he was serious! He motioned towards chapter 6 that sat nearby. "Do you mind?"

I waved my hands quickly, feeling my blush rise to my face faster than I cared to think about. I chewed on my pen nervously and pulled at the ends of my hair. "S..sure..."

He flipped through the pages, asking questions in between his oo's and aa's. I swore that my face was more than likely a shade of an overripe beet. When he was done, he looked at me.

"Do you do this locally or for a company?" I was even more shocked to laugh out loud. I tried maintain my politeness.

"Hah...no no...I just do it for fun on the side." He shook his head in what I assumed was shock.

"You know, we're opening a coffee shop and we're interested in displaying local artists there. Would you be interested in displaying some of your work? You'll get to get your name out there..." He went on. I couldn't believe my ears. Was he offering to DISPLAY my pitiful art? He LIKED it? No friggan way!!! But a chance to get my name out there...maybe I could be hired to get better...

"S...sure..." I said again, feeling quite dumb.

"Do you have a card or something we could get ahold of you at?" He asked. I was still in shock. A card? HA, like I'm a real artist? The shock of it all was starting to wear off. I grabbed a Mo Iikai card.

"I don't have a card, but you can get ahold of me at this place. This is where I work." I laughed and grinned. Alright...Another stab? "I drew that, too."

His mouth dropped open. "You drew this? Seriously? No way! This is some serious nice work!"

So I gave him my number and managed to get Mo Iikai's name out there.

I'm still sitting in the coffee shop in awe. I can't believe I was "discovered" like that.

*sigh*

Anyway, I think I'm going to draw a little bit more before I leave here.
